On Saturday, June 10, 2017, we will hold our annual Gala fundraiser, “L’Chaim – A Musical Tribute Honoring Rabbi Heidi Cohen”. This spectacular evening will include a special musical presentation, silent & live auction and a wonderful opportunity to gather with friends to honor Rabbi Cohen for her ongoing leadership as the Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth Sholom.

With the completion of our beautiful new campus, we are strengthening our focus and energy towards creating and enhancing the programs and services that Temple Beth Sholom takes pride in offering to our congregational family and the community. The funds raised at our annual Gala are vital to the success of this mission. We hope that you will consider participating in one or more of the following ways …

Underwriting & Sponsorships

Underwriting Donations and Sponsorships are an essential component of our fundraising efforts. Please take a moment to review the list of Underwriting & Sponsor Opportunities available. Your generosity will be prominently recognized in all event materials and publicity. To assist with our planning and expenses we would greatly appreciate a response by March 17, 2017.

Tribute Messages to Rabbi Cohen

Purchasing a tribute message is a quick and easy way to honor Rabbi Cohen and show your support for the fundraiser. This year our tributes are going digital and will be displayed on the TV monitors throughout the evening. A Memory Book of all tributes will be created for Rabbi Cohen and her family as a special keepsake of the evening. Tributes can be any combination of a message and/or photo (all photos must be submitted in a JPEG format with a minimum 300 dpi). In order to format the digital loop by April 15, 2017 – no exceptions.

Auction Donations

Prior to the start of the dinner, we will hold our annual silent auction featuring a variety of items donated by businesses, organizations and individuals. Our congregation is full of people with varied professions, hobbies, interests and connections. We would appreciate any donation that you could provide or secure to include in our auction and our opportunity drawings.   Please see the Auction Wish List and Donation Form above. Feel free to make additional copies, as well as the Business Donation Request Letter, to share with businesses you frequent that might be willing to donate to our auction; the more variety of items we have to offer the more fun the auction will be!

You Ought to be in Pictures!

LifeTouch Photography will be onsite at TBS over the next few months to photograph our congregants (individuals or families). There is No Charge for the sitting and you will have the opportunity to view your photos immediately. There is No Obligation to purchase photo packages, however, you will receive a FREE 8×10 photo for participating and your photo will be used to create a special gift for Rabbi Cohen and Temple Beth Sholom. Please watch your email or check the TBS website for new upcoming photo sessions.

While it is our hope that you will take advantage of this wonderful photo opportunity, we understand that timing may not always be ideal. If you would like to be included in the special gift, you may submit your own photo in a JPEG format with a minimum of 300 dpi. All photos must be submitted by April 15, 2017 – no exceptions.

We sincerely Thank You in advance for your consideration and your support of our annual fundraising endeavors.   Please help make this our most successful event ever!

Sincerely, The Gala Committee
