Welcome to the Temple Beth Sholom Blog! While I would say this is the first blog for TBS, it’s not really true. There have been TBS blogs before – the diaries from our congregational trips to Israel, the Post Confirmation Trip to New York and other random posts about life at TBS. However, this is the first time we will have a TBS Blog that will not focus on only one event but rather the life of our congregation.
Rabbi Eric Yoffie, President of the Union for Reform Judaism, delivered a sermon at the National Biennial a few weeks ago in which one of his initiatives includes blogging in our congregations and the various ways we interactively communicate with one another. He said, “we need blogs because the era of one-way, passive information consumption is over.”
We are excited about presenting this new way of connecting with one another and hearing what you have to say about life, Judaism and the world. The Temple Beth Sholom blog will include postings from not only the TBS staff, but also you! We hope you will share your thoughts and comments with all of us.
We’ll also share with you links to blogs we’re reading and hope you will share what you’re reading with us as well.
From email, to Facebook and Twitter and now to our own TBS Blog, it’s great to talk with you all!
Now, let us Blog!
