What is Scrip?
Scrip is Gift Certificates from local merchants, restaurants and grocery stores. These merchants will donate to TBS every time you purchase their gift certificates. To get a complete list of gift certificates offered and to purchase these gift certificates, contact Ellen Glasser at (714) 998-0780 or celgo@pacbell.net. Ralphs Grocery Store scrip can be purchased at the Temple office.
The real motivating reasons to use Scrip or Gift Certificates is 1) the convenience of getting all of your assorted gift certificates from one convenient place at one convenient time, 2) supporting our Temple and our Sisterhood by buying them through us instead of through the actual store, and 3) this support costs the congregant nothing extra. The merchants do the donating.
Please note: VONS does not sell scrip (gift certificates) anymore. They donate solely thru e-scrip (see below).
What is eScrip?
eScrip is a simple and easy way for merchants to donate to TBS each time you shop using your registered debit, credit and grocery cards. Just register your cards with eScrip. Then use these cards to automatically have participating merchants donate to TBS. To sign up, just complete these easy free steps (Right now, while you're thinking about it) :
- Start here to join eScrip. When asked to designate your group, use ID #136559178 for the Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood.
- Complete the sign-up process by entering your name, address phone #, and credit/debit cards & grocery store cards.
- That's it! You're done! Now whenever you shop using your registered credit cards and/or grocery cards, a portion of that sale will be transferred from the merchant to TBS.
ALL INFORMATION IS KEPT STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. ALL DONATIONS ARE MADE BY THE MERCHANT. NO PURCHASE DETAILS ARE DISCLOSED.

One last thing. Albertsons wants to contribute too. If you shop at Albertsons Grocery Store, please use their Albertsons Community Partner Cards. This is simply a donation card the size of a credit card issued by Albertsons for Temple Beth Sholom. Everytime you purchase groceries at Albertsons, hand the card to the cashier. The cashier will swipe the card and return it to you. Albertsons will donate a percentage of your purchase to TBS Sisterhood. Get these cards from the Temple office.
